Live theatre is a gift that entertains the members of communities, but it is much more than that. Live theatre challenges, enriches, and moves us. What do we use money for, what do we need money for?
We are an unusual theatre company in this area because we pay all of the creative people who work on the production - actors, director, all designers, stage manager. This enables us to express our appreciation of the many creative people involved with a production and it helps to avoid the problem of burnout from overusing volunteers. Other expenses of a production are the cost of rehearsal and performance space, costumes, scripts, production rights, costumes, set construction and painting.
